Silliness

Sometimes I resent PKD. I resent the time he has taken up in my life. I resent the intellectual burden he has put on me. I dislike the fact that I can be drawn in by a writer who was, at times, second-rate and who only rarely wrote a positive woman character.

Then I pick up the copy of The Man in the High Castle that floats around my desk and I get captured by the intricate storyline. Or I look up a reference in VALIS and get sucked into the amazing mind and spirit of Horselover Fat. Or I just remember PKD's best character, male or female, Angel Archer.

Here I've given in to the main part of my addiction and explored TMITHC extensively. Please join me. And, if you need a break from that, try a little Ubik silliness.
